ISO 9001: 2015 CERTIFICATION

B&M Group, through its holding company Barros & Moreira, has been implementing a Quality Management System since 2007 and is currently certified according to the new NP EN ISO 9001: 2015 normative framework for the design, development and production of sanitary articles (Bureau Veritas Certification Portugal, Certificate PT005866-1, 20/09/2019).

B&M Group assures the compliance of the services rendered, the articles produced and supplied, as well as the continuous improvement of all its processes in accordance with the requirements, needs and expectations of all stakeholders.

CERTIFICATION OF THE CHAIN OF CUSTODY

The Certification of the Chain of Custody establishes requirements for the traceability of raw materials, from the forest until the moment that the product reaches its end consumer, thus allowing companies processing and marketing wood, or other certified forest-based products, to be certain that these derive from well-managed forests, in which the protection of biodiversity, the protection of human rights, the protection of endangered species and the participatory forest policies entail a significant environmental and cultural importance.

By obtaining the FSC® Certification, the B&M Group, holder of the CTESI brand with license code FSC-C128717, thus recognizes its environmentally responsible and forest responsibility practices.

STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT TO THE FSC ® VALUES

The B&M Group explicitly states that it has read and acknowledged the “Policy for the Association of Organizations with the FSC®” (FSC-POL-01-004 – Policy for the Association of Organizations with the FSC®), as published on the web site “www.fsc.org”. The said policy establishes the FSC® position with regard to unacceptable activities carried out by organizations and individuals who already are or would like to be FSC® associates, as well as the decoupling mechanism.

As a consequence of the above, the B&M Group commits to comply with all the requirements of the standard FSC-STD-40-004 (standard for the certification of the Chain of custody for the FSC®) and agrees in an explicit manner, both currently and in the future, insofar as the relationship with the FSC® exists, not to be directly or indirectly involved in the following unacceptable activities:

  • The illegal logging activities or trading of illegal wood or forest products;
  • The violation of traditional and human rights in the context of forest operations;
  • The destruction of high conservation values in the context of forest operations;
  • The significant conversion of forests into plantations or non-forest use;
  • The introduction of genetically modified organisms in forest operations;
